Java EE / Java SE

ExtJS

ExtJS is a cross - browser JavaScript library for building rich internet applications - RIA. ExtJS simplifies Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (Ajax) development through the use of reusable objects and widgets. The framework is fully object oriented and extensible. The ExtJS framework is supported in all the major Web browsers, including:

• Windows® Internet Explorer® version 6 and later.

• Mozilla Firefox version 1.5 and later (PC and Macintosh).

• Apple Safari version 2 and later.

• Opera version 9 and later (PC and Mac).

ExtJS provides an easy-to-use, rich user interface. This lets the web developers concentrate on the functionality of web applications instead of the technical caveats. ExtJS will be used in a web site that requires a high level of user interaction - something more complex than typical web site. A web site that requires processes and a work flow would be a perfect example because it significantly decrease communication between client and server, which improves applications speed.
